FAQs
WORKSHOPS & TOURS

How Can I Book?
Bookings can be made easily using our online system, which is updated regularly. If you encounter any difficulties, please contact us, and we’ll provide a booking form that you can complete and email back. For assistance, call us at +971 (0) 529 864644. About three months before your trip, you’ll receive additional details, including packing essentials, hotel information, and travel guidance. The remaining balance will also be due at this time. Once your travel plans are finalized, please share them with us so we can coordinate accordingly.
How to Pay?
To secure your spot, a 30% deposit is required, payable online via Stripe or through a bank transfer to our Sterling or AED account. A balance payment request will be emailed to you approximately three months before your trip, with the option to pay the remainder via bank transfer or Stripe. The exchange rate for payments in GBP is determined on the transaction day. Detailed payment instructions will be provided for your convenience.
What Happens If the Workshop or Tour is Canceled by You?
In the rare case that we must cancel a workshop or tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., low participant numbers or external factors like weather or travel restrictions), you’ll receive a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to another date or trip. We recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any non-refundable personal expenses, such as flights.
What Support is Provided During the Trip?
Our tutors will be available throughout the workshop or tour to assist with photography, logistics, and any challenges that may arise. For workshops, we offer group sessions and one-on-one guidance to help you refine your skills.
What Group Sizes Can I Expect?
To ensure personalised attention, we limit group sizes to between 5 and 8 participants. This small group format allows everyone to benefit from tailored instruction and ample shooting time at each location.
Are Meals Included?
For most workshops and tours, breakfast is included if accommodation is part of the package. Details about other meals will be provided in your trip itinerary. In many cases, we plan group meals in the hotel we are staying or at local restaurants to enhance the experience, but participants cover the cost unless stated otherwise.
What’s the Difference Between a Workshop and a Tour?
Workshops cater to photographers of all experience levels, providing detailed instruction on fine art landscape photography. They include editing sessions, technique demonstrations, and guided practice. Tours, on the other hand, are tailored for seasoned photographers focused on capturing optimal moments at key locations. Tours prioritize shooting time over mentoring but may include one or two editing sessions specific to the photography style.
Is Single Occupancy Available?
Yes, single occupancy is included in all workshops and tours at no extra cost. Couples can request a discounted rate—just let us know.
Are Deposits Refundable?
Deposits are generally non-refundable due to upfront costs for third-party services (e.g., hotels and guides). However, we will try to refund any recoverable costs if you need to cancel. A non-refundable administrative fee of AED 1,000 ($275) applies to all cancellations. We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
What Gear would you recommend?
A list of recommended gear and clothing will be shared after booking. If you need this information sooner, feel free to contact us.

ONLINE LEARNING
How do I start the vitual learning program?
It's simple, just go to the Virtual Online Learning page and click on the 'request availability' button. We will then send you available dates and a questionnaire in order to understand more about your photography background.

What type of camera is required?
Ideally you will own a good quality DSLR or mirrorless camera with 20mp or more, you should also have lenses that cover 24-200mm. Other requirements include - a solid tripod, a cable release and ND filters (for long exposure photography), Photoshop CC or Lightroom and of course access to Skype or Webex.

Do I need to be an advanced photographer to participate?
No - that's the great thing about this customised program. Modules can be chosen to suit all levels from beginners to advanced photographers.

What type of photography do I need to specialise in?
For this program and due to the included modules, I can only offer a course for landscape, seascape and cityscape photographers.

Does it matter where I'm living?
This program is perfectly designed for all international photographers, so location doesn't matter. As long as you have a passion for photography, strong internet connection and speak good english that's all that matters.
What happens if I can't attend a session due to urgent commitments?
Sometimes life can be hectic and the unforeseen can happen - if its unavoidable, then we can reschedule the session that suits both parties. Ideally we must try to stick to all the pre-arranged timings so we can keep the course flowing.

Can more than one person join the remote learning sessions?
Sorry but no - As the program is specifically designed for the photographer who answered the questionnaire, then unfortunately only that person can attend the sessions. I only teach 3 photographers at any given time who will all have a separate schedule arranged.

Will I receive a certificate when I've finished the program?
Not on this course unfortunately. You will however have 6 take away tutorial videos, workbook lesson recaps and a digital portfolio of new work as well as all the knowledge shared throughout the course.

How many hours per week will I need to commit to?
It's flexible, but in order to get the best out of the learning program you must try to commit to 6 -10 hours per week. The more effort you put in the better the results will be.

What will the Final Evaluation include?
At the end of the program we evaluate your progress, examine the completed work and cover any last concerns you may have. We will also choose your best images and compose a digital portfolio.
